Hi everyone! Welcome to the campaign!
We are so excited to see so many of you here this fresh into the new year! We weren't sure if most folks would still be reeling from holiday madness, but we're happy to see such an enthusiastic crowd here! We blew past the first stretch goal within the first 2 hours, and the next goal has been revealed:
In full transparency, we find it wise to let the first day determine the spread of stretch goals for the remainder of the campaign. That way we can pace things out to hopefully unlock everything we have planned every 2-3 days or so. It's not a perfect science, but this is our 35th campaign so far, and we've gotten pretty good at estimating the curve once the first day's data has been plugged in. Needless to say, we have several more cool stretch goals planned that we will reveal if/when each current goal is unlocked. At the rate things are going, this next one might be unlocked by Friday! 😎
When our friends at Delcourt first showed us NO FUTURE, we knew we had to add this to the Magnetic library -- not only are we suckers for Jef's amazing art style (which we fell in love with when we published MEZKAL and CONVOY), but everything else about this book just seemed tailor-made for us... a perfect cocktail of 70's Euro-sci-fi BD flair wrapped around a tale straight out of an 80's Hollywood scifi action buddy-cop movie, with a ton of subtle nods to our favorite titles and genres... it's like Corbeyran and Jef had been lurking in our dreams. They say everything old is new again, and this chunk of premium nostalgia comes gift-wrapped with a modern bow.
We've been so immersed in the world of NO FUTURE that we even made an unofficial soundtrack playlist on Spotify! If you like dark new-wave cyber-electronic guitar rock, this outa give you 90 minutes of NO FUTURE attitude.
